The # 1 global cloud workflow suite for accounting professionals
Intuit steps into the future....bringing the complete virtual office to accountants quickly.
Jill Ward, Senior Vice President and General Manager, of Intuit's Accountant's Professional Division will provide the keynote address at this mornings' opening General Session of Scaling New Heights...
"Be watching for updates from the General Session, including Jill's address, as this morning progresses; you can bet what she has to say will be 'keysenntial'!"
Update from SNH:
Following a warm welcome by Mickey Mouse himself; Jill Ward spoke to in excess of 800 attending Monday Mornings Opening General Session. She advised the group that Intuit was present 'in force' with more than 50 personnel 'on the floor', and no operational areas without a presence. She also told the audience that Intuit staffers were there so that those attending the conference could 'reach out' regarding specific products, enhancement ideas, questions and concerns.
Ms. Ward gave her 'temperature check' as to the state of the accounting and consulting community in which she reported that 'migration to the cloud is at lightning speed' with 38% of users already having adopted 'the cloud' and 34% migrating in that direction. Intuit is striving to make transitioning to the cloud easier and more beneficial, while at the same time offering users choices including the ability to retain desktop applications and even use those in combination with online tools and data.
Professional users surveyed report that they are wanting and expecting more from the cloud, not simply a place to run stand-alone applications. They are wanting faster more convenient workflow processes that work together, the availability to offer more cloud based services to their clients, and the ability to use all of this from any type of device. Consultants and accountants also wants cloud based tools that help them identify and access new clients.
Accordingly the next phase in cloud offerings will be an integrated approach where 'all workflow in the cloud is working together easily for the accountant and the client." This virtual office should include not only accounting, but taxes, practice management, document management, and other 3rd party products working together as one. Intuit's goal is to create 'the number one global cloud workflow suite for accounting professional and consultants.
In many ways things are moving faster than expected, one specific announcement was that 'Tax online' would be available for 'tablets' very soon, that the project had moved along much faster than expected.
There is plenty still to come from both the Opening Session and Scaling New Heights, so watch for updates throughout the conference and after.
Intuitive Accountant will also be striving to bring you the latest news on specific Intuit projects 'in the works' or 'ready to go' in the days to come.
