Mind of Murph
I am sitting here, sipping the in-room coffee ("yucko"), and looking out at the beautiful lake in this Stone Mountain resort...."and they expect us to conference for 10 hours a day?????, who is fooling who..." So I departed Oklahoma City, 30 minutes late (thank you SWA) and then the flight from Houston started out 30 minutes late, but thanks to a 180 mile per hour tail wind I actually arrived in Atlanta 10 minutes early. (Why I didn't ask NaNu to 'fold space' and get me here in like a nanosecond, "I have Noooooooooo idea.")
Then I rode the Atlanta Airport Train through 5 stops to reach the terminal ("the train is about to leave the station, the train is leaving, the train is about to stop, the train is stopping....blah, blah, blah, blah, blah") and then find my way to the Shuttle Bus. My only companion on 'the last shuttle' was Elissa Greeley, we had a great visit on the 50 minute ride to Stone Mountain.
After getting checked in I found my way to the only 'open' venue for dining, the lounge and found my fellow "Methodologists" surrounding 3 tables, most of them wearing new Method T-shirts. It looks to be around 50 or so of us here for this Method Retreat.
Many of those attending are already 'top notch' Method specialists who have come to expand their wisdom into the mysteries that are Method from the Wizards who will be teaching. (Boil and bubble, toil and trouble....poof, the method to the madness is clear.)
Some of us, like myself, are here to reacquaint ourselves with Method and find out what has changed over the last 2 years, since the CRM underwent a complete transformation. Who am I fooling, it has been so long since I played with Method I have forgotten everything I knew and more...
And I suspect, after hearing the stories last night, some of those attending are here for the camaraderie with their fellow Methodologists who perhaps they haven't seen in this type of a devotional environment in some time.
And yes, Joe was here last night, and for those of you who know what I am talking about...as always he was wearing his 'blue sports coat..."
Well I will be slipping in a new 'blog' about the Retreat (that's an odd word for this type of thing) each of the next few days....you will get a few Method details as well as my impressions....hope you enjoy reading them.
