I keep seeing people ask about missing memorized QuickBooks reports in various forums, I don't see a reason to write another article on the same topic which I have written a couple in the last 2 or 3 years, and there are no changes.
Corrupted Memorized Reports are an all too common problem in QuickBooks. I have written a couple of 'good articles' on this subject if I say so myself.
In 2014 I wrote a relatively short article under the Data Detective banner, "The Case of the Missing Memorized Report".
In 2016 I wrote another, this time more detailed, article also under the Data Detective banner, titled "What's Up with these Memorized Reports in QuickBooks that won't run?"
In addition, Insightful Accountant published under the 'True Joe Ways' banner, a reprint of an article Joe Woodard wrote a few years back on how you could preserve a copy of your memorized reports. That feature was titled, "True Joe Ways - Backing Up Memorized Reports in QuickBooks".
So if you are having problems with Memorized Reports in QuickBooks Desktop, then you probably should check out either the 'short' or 'long' of the problem using the Data Detective articles above. If you want to potentially eliminate the possibility of loosing a memorized report to corruption, then be sure to give Joe's article a read.
