Maintenance Release Update
Intuit released the R12 maintenance release for manual update to QuickBooks 2013 today.
One of the reported fixes deals with the rounding errors people have experienced in relationship to Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) when using a QuickBooks Payroll subscription. This error affects both computed FUTA (940) tax forms and related tax liability payments for the employer. If you are using QuickBooks for Payroll, you probably need to go ahead and download this manual update from their update website: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/ProductUpdates.aspx since it is getting close to the deadline for filing FUTA (940) returns.
Another problem related to user 'master key' encryption/decryption errors for log-in passwords has supposedly been resolved in this update. Of course, previous release updates were also going to resolve encryption/decryption problems people have experienced since QuickBooks 2013 came out, and yet they continue to exist in one form or another. I will be eager to see if this update actually resolves those problems.
Best of luck,
