Goodbye Windows XP
It is less than four months until Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 will sunset from Microsoft support on April 8, 2014. If you, or your business, have not started the migration to a modern desktop, you are running a little late.
For many organizations the average deployment of new software across the entire business, due to both budgetary and logistical considerations, can take as many as 32 months from first purchase to last. In many cases the process can take longer if new hardware must be acquired as well as software.
To ensure you remain on supported versions of the Windows Operating System and Office software, you should begin your planning and acquisition immediately to ensure you deploy before the end of their support.
I know, I know, you really love your Windows XP and you can't imagine jumping all the way to that 'new kid on the block' Windows 8, but you can still find a few computers out there with Windows 7 if you get started now. Best of luck in all your upgrades.
