SmartBooks Genie
SmartBooks Genie is a SAAS application that powers Client Accounting Service practices (a.k.a. Cloud Accounting and Bookkeeping Services).
Genie was born out of the struggles of scaling a CAS practice from zero to 40 employees over an 8 year period. It combines a broad suite of tools into one package and centralizes task management and reporting for everything from day-to-day accounting and the monthly close to running payroll to client relationship management. There is no comparable product in the Intuit ecosystem.
Genie has a 2-way integration with QuickBooks. It does the things that QuickBooks does not do, and that you are probably now struggling to do in spreadsheets and disparate, unintegrated systems.
Among its many benefits, Genie:
- Assists with scoping new client engagements and pricing them based on actual client data
- Automates scope of service and cost tracking for existing clients
- Automates accrual accounting for things like deferred revenue and prepaid expenses, including posting journal entries to QuickBooks.
