Intuit announced today that the company has entered into an agreement to acquire "Lettuce, a start-up focused on helping product-based small businesses succeed by providing easy to use cloud-based solutions, including a robust inventory and order management system."
According to an article in Pando Daily, the deal was for $30,000,000 cash. This has not been confirmed by leadership or spokespeople for either company.
According to the release, "This is a strategically important acquisition for Intuit that creates a tremendous opportunity to move more desktop customers to the cloud and is aligned with Intuit's vision of making QuickBooks the operating system behind small business success around the world."
